About this site
This site lets you record yourself reading a classic children's story in your own voice. You read along with the highlighted words, and at the end you download a video of the pictures with your voice, to keep or to share with your family.
I made it because I live with ALS. My voice is changing, and I wanted the people I love to keep hearing it. I hope it helps you do the same.
The stories
The stories are short retellings we wrote from the original public-domain tales, then translated into Portuguese, Spanish, Italian and German. The pictures were made new for this site.
- The Tortoise and the Hare — based on Aesop's fable. Original public-domain text
- The Ugly Duckling — based on Hans Christian Andersen. Original public-domain text
- The Elves and the Shoemaker — based on Brothers Grimm. Original public-domain text
- Puss in Boots — based on Charles Perrault. Original public-domain text
